Bortolotti, Zampieri lose Ferrari places

Mirko Bortolotti and Daniel Zampieri have lost their places in the Ferrari Driver Academy. The two Italians were among the young driver development scheme's first recruits, along with Jules Bianchi, last year, but Ferrari says it will not be continuing with its support for them. Bortolotti first came to Ferrari's attention when he set an impressive pace during his Formula 1 prize test after winning the Italian Formula 3 Championship in 2008.
